Good Times

Yes, we are alive!!! I have been so negligent! We have been having such a fun month, staying super busy! Connor is basically potty trained! I say basically because when we are out and about I put a pull-up on him, but he rarely uses it. Hooray!!! Ethan is walking, crazy kid. Yes, that is right, 9-1/2 months. Thanks for your understanding, Brittney! Anyway, here are some fun pictures.
Ethan's crazy hair . . . gotta love it!

Closet Shopping

This is by far one of my favorite things to do. Definitely in my top ten! You know that you all do it too! In my mind, there is nothing better than going shopping in your own closet. Digging out those jeans that you keep, and you don't know why because they haven't fit you for the last 3 years, but you decide to try them on anyway. Wonder of wonders, they fit!!! It's like getting new clothes that you don't have to pay for, because you already did!!! Nothing I like more than a good closet shopping trip . . .

Eyeballs

Connor recently saw a commercial on TV that he thought was funny. It's a Village Inn commercial where they have a smiley face made from eggs and bacon. All of the sudden, a piece of toast gets dipped in the eye and the face starts screaming (I've never actually seen the commercial, this was all told to me by Brian . . . ) Connor started busting up and exclaimed, "that was AWESOME!" Later on he informed his father, "We don't eat eyes dad." A very keen and acute observation. Oh to be so young and so wise . . .

Kung Fu Panda

There have been many times in my life where I have looked back and thought, hmmm, that might not have been the best idea. Friday was one of those times. I would probably feel more regret too if it wasn't so darn funny! Friday we had one of our family movie nights, and for our viewing pleasure we watched Kung Fu Panda. There were a few things working against us from the start.
1- We didn't get the movie started until 8:00 p.m.
2- Connor is a boy.
Yep. I think that sums it up nicely. I'm sure any of you who have boys, or have raised boys, or have watched boys for even 5 minutes of time can relate. Connor has been running around quoting the movie ("I love kung fuuuuuuuuuu . . . .") whilst doing his "kung fu" moves. Here's the movie I took of Connor about an hour after having watched Kung Fu Panda. He had been doing this ever since the movie started and about 2 hours after.

Bead Party

I tried to send an e-mail out, but realized I don't have everyone's e-mail addresses! So here's my plug for one of my VERY favorite activities! Sue, the bead lady, is having a bead party on November 11 from 3:30 to 9:00 that night. It's being held in the Hyde Park Civic Center basement (113 E. Center). I love, Love, LOVE bead parties! They are tons of fun. Just come and make the jewelry of your choice, stop and gab. You spend what you want and make what you want! I choose to leave my boys at home for the occasion, but if Connor was a girl, I would probably take him . . . I mean her . . . Hopefully you know what I mean. Anyway, let me know if you have any questions!

Human Garbage Disposal

I knew that the day would come when my boys would become human garbage disposals. Doesn't it happen with every boy eventually? I honestly thought I would have until they hit puberty . . . at least 10 more years! Ethan has become our little human garbage disposal. I have never seen anyone pack it away like this boy can. His eating knows no bounds! And with no teeth! That is the real feat of amazement! He packs it all away, graham crackers, popcorn, whole saltine crackers, pizza crust, oreo cookies (today I even found him trying to gnaw off a bite of carrot leftover from Connor's lunch!) Ahhh, Connor's lunch. The whole reason behind today's post. Connor left his lunch on the floor the other day, and I didn't notice it before it was too late. Ethan found the cupcake that Connor didn't eat (what kid doesn't eat a cupcake?! I tell you, their eating habits are polar opposites!) and promptly devoured it. The only parts left of that cupcake were the parts that were too ground into the carpet for his little fingers to extract.

I apologize for the movie being so dark. We have to do something about the lighting in our living room . . .

Peek-A-Boo

This movie was too cute not to share. Connor loves to play Peek-a-boo with Ethan when he is in his high chair. Ethan is always just a second behind . . . it is too cute. Poor Brian is trying to feed Ethan at the same time.
